THE BASTARD BOYS OF MONTEZUMA

The closest friendship in the West was not that of Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp, but actually between their bastard sons: Cash Holliday and Marshall Earp. Contrary to popular belief, the two notorious gunslingers did father children. They should have protected themselves with more than just a six-shooter.

Despite a lingering bad economy in 1896, the two boys operate a detective agency and are doing quite well for themselves. Much of this is attributed to their relationship with a sheriff who is feeding them leads. With the absence of their fathers, Sheriff Kristof Varga taught the boys to be men. When the sheriff hands Marshall a bounty for the infamous Cactus Kid and the members of the Prickly Bunch, it means big things for their business. When Cash receives a letter stating that Big Nose Kate has pawned some of his late father’s possessions in Tombstone, he becomes interested in an entirely different pursuit.

Along the way they meet up with several faces of the West: Bonnie Ringo, Curly Boy Brocius, Spike Clanton, and even Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Faced with lying to his best friend, crazy superstitions, a girl with a mysterious past, and a Pinkerton agent who is hot on their trail, Cash must decide if he’s willing to risk their lives on the secrets of a father he never knew.
